| שִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת אַ֭שְׁרֵי כָּל־יְרֵ֣א יְהוָ֑ה הַ֝הֹלֵ֗ךְ בִּדְרָכָֽיו׃ | א | 1 | A Song of Ascents. {N} Happy is every one that feareth Yehovah, that walketh in His ways. |
| יְגִ֣יעַ כַּ֭פֶּיךָ כִּ֣י תֹאכֵ֑ל אַ֝שְׁרֶ֗יךָ וְט֣וֹב לָֽךְ׃ | ב | 2 | When thou eatest the labour of thy hands, happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. |
| אֶשְׁתְּךָ֤ ׀ כְּגֶ֥פֶן פֹּרִיָּה֮ בְּיַרְכְּתֵ֪י בֵ֫יתֶ֥ךָ בָּ֭נֶיךָ כִּשְׁתִלֵ֣י זֵיתִ֑ים סָ֝בִ֗יב לְשֻׁלְחָנֶֽךָ׃ | ג | 3 | Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine, in the innermost parts of thy house; {N} thy children like olive plants, round about thy table. |
| הִנֵּ֣ה כִי־כֵ֭ן יְבֹ֥רַךְ גָּ֗בֶר יְרֵ֣א יְהוָֽה׃ | ד | 4 | Behold, surely thus shall the man be blessed that feareth Yehovah. |
| יְבָרֶכְךָ֥ יְהוָ֗ה מִצִּ֫יּ֥וֹן וּ֭רְאֵה בְּט֣וּב יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם כֹּ֝֗ל יְמֵ֣י חַיֶּֽיךָ׃ | ה | 5 | Yehovah bless thee out of Zion; and see thou the good of Yerushalam all the days of thy life; |
| וּרְאֵֽה־בָנִ֥ים לְבָנֶ֑יךָ שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | ו | 6 | And see thy children's children. Peace be upon Israel! {P} |

| שִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת רַ֭בַּת צְרָר֣וּנִי מִנְּעוּרַ֑י יֹֽאמַר־נָ֝א יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | א | 1 | A Song of Ascents. {N} 'Much have they afflicted me from my youth up', let Israel now say; |
| רַ֭בַּת צְרָר֣וּנִי מִנְּעוּרָ֑י גַּ֝ם לֹא־יָ֥כְלוּ לִֽי׃ | ב | 2 | 'Much have they afflicted me from my youth up; but they have not prevailed against me. |
| עַל־גַּ֭בִּי חָרְשׁ֣וּ חֹרְשִׁ֑ים הֶ֝אֱרִ֗יכוּ לְמַעֲנִיתָֽם למענותם׃ | ג | 3 | The plowers plowed upon my back; they made long their furrows. |
| יְהוָ֥ה צַדִּ֑יק קִ֝צֵּ֗ץ עֲב֣וֹת רְשָׁעִֽים׃ | ד | 4 | Yehovah is righteous; He hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.' |
| יֵ֭בֹשׁוּ וְיִסֹּ֣גוּ אָח֑וֹר כֹּ֝֗ל שֹׂנְאֵ֥י צִיּֽוֹן׃ | ה | 5 | Let them be ashamed and turned backward, all they that hate Zion. |
| יִ֭הְיוּ כַּחֲצִ֣יר גַּגּ֑וֹת שֶׁקַּדְמַ֖ת שָׁלַ֣ף יָבֵֽשׁ׃ | ו | 6 | Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it springeth up; |
| שֶׁלֹּ֤א מִלֵּ֖א כַפּ֥וֹ קוֹצֵ֗ר וְחִצְנ֥וֹ מְעַמֵּֽר׃ | ז | 7 | Wherewith the reaper filleth not his hand, nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom. |
| וְלֹ֤א אָֽמְר֨וּ ׀ הָעֹבְרִ֗ים בִּרְכַּֽת־יְהוָ֥ה אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם בֵּרַ֥כְנוּ אֶ֝תְכֶ֗ם בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָֽה׃ | ח | 8 | Neither do they that go by say: 'The blessing of Yehovah be upon you; {N} we bless you in the name of Yehovah.' {P} |

| שִׁ֥יר הַֽמַּעֲל֑וֹת מִמַּעֲמַקִּ֖ים קְרָאתִ֣יךָ יְהוָֽה׃ | א | 1 | A Song of Ascents. {N} Out of the depths have I called Thee, Yehovah. |
| אֲדֹנָי֮ שִׁמְעָ֪ה בְק֫וֹלִ֥י תִּהְיֶ֣ינָה אָ֭זְנֶיךָ קַשֻּׁב֑וֹת לְ֝ק֗וֹל תַּחֲנוּנָֽי׃ | ב | 2 | Lord, hearken unto my voice; {N} let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. |
| אִם־עֲוֺנ֥וֹת תִּשְׁמָר־יָ֑הּ אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י מִ֣י יַעֲמֹֽד׃ | ג | 3 | If Thou, Yah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? |
| כִּֽי־עִמְּךָ֥ הַסְּלִיחָ֑ה לְ֝מַ֗עַן תִּוָּרֵֽא׃ | ד | 4 | For with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared. |
| קִוִּ֣יתִי יְ֭הוָה קִוְּתָ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י וְֽלִדְבָר֥וֹ הוֹחָֽלְתִּי׃ | ה | 5 | I wait for Yehovah, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope. |
| נַפְשִׁ֥י לַֽאדֹנָ֑י מִשֹּׁמְרִ֥ים לַ֝בֹּ֗קֶר שֹׁמְרִ֥ים לַבֹּֽקֶר׃ | ו | 6 | My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning. |
| יַחֵ֥ל יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אֶל־יְה֫וָה כִּֽי־עִם־יְהוָ֥ה הַחֶ֑סֶד וְהַרְבֵּ֖ה עִמּ֣וֹ פְדֽוּת׃ | ז | 7 | O Israel, hope in Yehovah; for with Yehovah there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption. |
| וְ֭הוּא יִפְדֶּ֣ה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מִ֝כֹּ֗ל עֲוֺנֹתָֽיו׃ | ח | 8 | And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities. {P} |
