| שִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת הַבֹּטְחִ֥ים בַּיהוָ֑ה כְּֽהַר־צִיּ֥וֹן לֹא־יִ֝מּ֗וֹט לְעוֹלָ֥ם יֵשֵֽׁב׃ | א | 1 | A Song of Ascents. {N} They that trust in Yehovah are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever. |
| יְֽרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם הָרִים֮ סָבִ֪יב לָ֥הּ וַ֭יהוָה סָבִ֣יב לְעַמּ֑וֹ מֵ֝עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ | ב | 2 | As the mountains are round about Yerushalam, {N} so Yehovah is round about His people, from this time forth and for ever. |
| כִּ֤י לֹ֪א יָנ֡וּחַ שֵׁ֤בֶט הָרֶ֗שַׁע עַל֮ גּוֹרַ֪ל הַֽצַּדִּ֫יקִ֥ים לְמַ֡עַן לֹא־יִשְׁלְח֖וּ הַצַּדִּיקִ֨ים בְּעַוְלָ֬תָה יְדֵיהֶֽם׃ | ג | 3 | For the rod of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; {N} that the righteous put not forth their hands unto iniquity. |
| הֵיטִ֣יבָה יְ֭הוָה לַטּוֹבִ֑ים וְ֝לִֽישָׁרִ֗ים בְּלִבּוֹתָֽם׃ | ד | 4 | Do good, Yehovah, unto the good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. |
| וְהַמַּטִּ֤ים עַֽקַלְקַלּוֹתָ֗ם יוֹלִיכֵ֣ם יְ֭הוָה אֶת־פֹּעֲלֵ֣י הָאָ֑וֶן שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | ה | 5 | But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, Yehovah will lead them away with the workers of iniquity. {N} Peace be upon Israel. {P} |

| שִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת בְּשׁ֣וּב יְ֭הוָה אֶת־שִׁיבַ֣ת צִיּ֑וֹן הָ֝יִ֗ינוּ כְּחֹלְמִֽים׃ | א | 1 | A Song of Ascents. {N} When Yehovah brought back those that returned to Zion, we were like unto them that dream. |
| אָ֤ז יִמָּלֵ֪א שְׂח֡וֹק פִּינוּ֮ וּלְשׁוֹנֵ֪נוּ רִ֫נָּ֥ה אָ֭ז יֹאמְר֣וּ בַגּוֹיִ֑ם הִגְדִּ֥יל יְ֝הוָ֗ה לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת עִם־אֵֽלֶּה׃ | ב | 2 | Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; {N} then said they among the nations: 'Yehovah hath done great things with these.' |
| הִגְדִּ֣יל יְ֭הוָה לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת עִמָּ֗נוּ הָיִ֥ינוּ שְׂמֵחִֽים׃ | ג | 3 | Yehovah hath done great things with us; we are rejoiced. |
| שׁוּבָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה אֶת־שְׁבִיתֵ֑נוּ שבותנו כַּאֲפִיקִ֥ים בַּנֶּֽגֶב׃ | ד | 4 | Turn our captivity, Yehovah, as the streams in the dry land. |
| הַזֹּרְעִ֥ים בְּדִמְעָ֗ה בְּרִנָּ֥ה יִקְצֹֽרוּ׃ | ה | 5 | They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. |
הָ֘ל֤וֹךְ יֵלֵ֨ךְ ׀ וּבָכֹה֮ נֹשֵׂ֪א מֶֽשֶׁךְ־הַ֫זָּ֥רַע בֹּֽ֬א־יָב֥וֹא בְרִנָּ֑ה נֹ֝שֵׂ֗א אֲלֻמֹּתָֽיו׃

ו | 6 | Though he goeth on his way weeping that beareth the measure of seed, {N} he shall come home with joy, bearing his sheaves. {P} |

| שִׁ֥יר הַֽמַּֽעֲל֗וֹת לִשְׁלֹ֫מֹ֥ה אִם־יְהוָ֤ה ׀ לֹא־יִבְנֶ֬ה בַ֗יִת שָׁ֤וְא ׀ עָמְל֣וּ בוֹנָ֣יו בּ֑וֹ אִם־יְהוָ֥ה לֹֽא־יִשְׁמָר־עִ֝֗יר שָׁ֤וְא ׀ שָׁקַ֬ד שׁוֹמֵֽר׃ | א | 1 | A Song of Ascents; of Solomon. {N} Except Yehovah build the house, they labour in vain that build it; {N} except Yehovah keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. |
| שָׁ֤וְא לָכֶ֨ם ׀ מַשְׁכִּ֪ימֵי ק֡וּם מְאַֽחֲרֵי־שֶׁ֗בֶת אֹ֭כְלֵי לֶ֣חֶם הָעֲצָבִ֑ים כֵּ֤ן יִתֵּ֖ן לִֽידִיד֣וֹ שֵׁנָֽא׃ | ב | 2 | It is vain for you that ye rise early, and sit up late, {N} ye that eat the bread of toil; {N} so He giveth unto His beloved in sleep. |
| הִנֵּ֤ה נַחֲלַ֣ת יְהוָ֣ה בָּנִ֑ים שָׂ֝כָ֗ר פְּרִ֣י הַבָּֽטֶן׃ | ג | 3 | Lo, children are a heritage of Yehovah; the fruit of the womb is a reward. |
| כְּחִצִּ֥ים בְּיַד־גִּבּ֑וֹר כֵּ֝֗ן בְּנֵ֣י הַנְּעוּרִֽים׃ | ד | 4 | As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of one's youth. |
| אַשְׁרֵ֤י הַגֶּ֗בֶר אֲשֶׁ֤ר מִלֵּ֥א אֶת־אַשְׁפָּת֗וֹ מֵ֫הֶ֥ם לֹֽא־יֵבֹ֑שׁוּ כִּֽי־יְדַבְּר֖וּ אֶת־אוֹיְבִ֣ים בַּשָּֽׁעַר׃ | ה | 5 | Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them; {N} they shall not be put to shame, when they speak with their enemies in the gate. {P} |
