| הוֹד֣וּ לַ֭יהוָה קִרְא֣וּ בִּשְׁמ֑וֹ הוֹדִ֥יעוּ בָ֝עַמִּ֗ים עֲלִילוֹתָֽיו׃ | א | 1 | O give thanks unto Yehovah, call upon His name; make known His doings among the peoples. |
שִֽׁירוּ־ל֭וֹ זַמְּרוּ־ל֑וֹ שִׂ֝֗יחוּ בְּכָל־נִפְלְאוֹתָֽיו׃

ב | 2 | Sing unto Him, sing praises unto Him; speak ye of all His marvellous works. |
| הִֽ֭תְהַלְלוּ בְּשֵׁ֣ם קָדְשׁ֑וֹ יִ֝שְׂמַ֗ח לֵ֤ב ׀ מְבַקְשֵׁ֬י יְהוָֽה׃ | ג | 3 | Glory ye in His holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek Yehovah. |
| דִּרְשׁ֣וּ יְהוָ֣ה וְעֻזּ֑וֹ בַּקְּשׁ֖וּ פָנָ֣יו תָּמִֽיד׃ | ד | 4 | Seek ye Yehovah and His strength; seek His face continually. |
| זִכְר֗וּ נִפְלְאוֹתָ֥יו אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֑ה מֹ֝פְתָ֗יו וּמִשְׁפְּטֵי־פִֽיו׃ | ה | 5 | Remember His marvellous works that He hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth; |
| זֶ֭רַע אַבְרָהָ֣ם עַבְדּ֑וֹ בְּנֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב בְּחִירָֽיו׃ | ו | 6 | O ye seed of Abraham His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen ones. |
| ה֭וּא יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ בְּכָל־הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ מִשְׁפָּטָֽיו׃ | ז | 7 | He is Yehovah our God; His judgments are in all the earth. |
| זָכַ֣ר לְעוֹלָ֣ם בְּרִית֑וֹ דָּבָ֥ר צִ֝וָּ֗ה לְאֶ֣לֶף דּֽוֹר׃ | ח | 8 | He hath remembered His covenant for ever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations; |
| אֲשֶׁ֣ר כָּ֭רַת אֶת־אַבְרָהָ֑ם וּשְׁב֖וּעָת֣וֹ לְיִשְׂחָֽק׃ | ט | 9 | [The covenant] which He made with Abraham, and His oath unto Isaac; |
| וַיַּֽעֲמִידֶ֣הָ לְיַעֲקֹ֣ב לְחֹ֑ק לְ֝יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל בְּרִ֣ית עוֹלָֽם׃ | י | 10 | And He established it unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant; |
| לֵאמֹ֗ר לְךָ֗ אֶתֵּ֥ן אֶת־אֶֽרֶץ־כְּנָ֑עַן חֶ֝֗בֶל נַחֲלַתְכֶֽם׃ | יא | 11 | Saying: 'Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.' |
| בִּֽ֭הְיוֹתָם מְתֵ֣י מִסְפָּ֑ר כִּ֝מְעַ֗ט וְגָרִ֥ים בָּֽהּ׃ | יב | 12 | When they were but a few men in number. Yea, very few, and sojourners in it, |
| וַֽ֭יִּתְהַלְּכוּ מִגּ֣וֹי אֶל־גּ֑וֹי מִ֝מַּמְלָכָ֗ה אֶל־עַ֥ם אַחֵֽר׃ | יג | 13 | And when they went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, |
| לֹֽא־הִנִּ֣יחַ אָדָ֣ם לְעָשְׁקָ֑ם וַיּ֖וֹכַח עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם מְלָכִֽים׃ | יד | 14 | He suffered no man to do them wrong, yea, for their sake He reproved kings: |
| אַֽל־תִּגְּע֥וּ בִמְשִׁיחָ֑י וְ֝לִנְבִיאַי אַל־תָּרֵֽעוּ׃ | יה | 15 | 'Touch not Mine anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.' |
| וַיִּקְרָ֣א רָ֭עָב עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ כָּֽל־מַטֵּה־לֶ֥חֶם שָׁבָֽר׃ | יו | 16 | And He called a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread. |
| שָׁלַ֣ח לִפְנֵיהֶ֣ם אִ֑ישׁ לְ֝עֶ֗בֶד נִמְכַּ֥ר יוֹסֵֽף׃ | יז | 17 | He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant; |
| עִנּ֣וּ בַכֶּ֣בֶל רַגְל֑וֹ רגליו בַּ֝רְזֶ֗ל בָּ֣אָה נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ | יח | 18 | His feet they hurt with fetters, his person was laid in iron; |
| עַד־עֵ֥ת בֹּֽא־דְבָר֑וֹ אִמְרַ֖ת יְהוָ֣ה צְרָפָֽתְהוּ׃ | יט | 19 | Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of Yehovah tested him. |
| שָׁ֣לַח מֶ֭לֶךְ וַיַּתִּירֵ֑הוּ מֹשֵׁ֥ל עַ֝מִּ֗ים וַֽיְפַתְּחֵֽהוּ׃ | כ | 20 | The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the peoples, and set him free. |
| שָׂמ֣וֹ אָד֣וֹן לְבֵית֑וֹ וּ֝מֹשֵׁ֗ל בְּכָל־קִנְיָנֽוֹ׃ | כא | 21 | He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions; |
| לֶאְסֹ֣ר שָׂרָ֣יו בְּנַפְשׁ֑וֹ וּזְקֵנָ֥יו יְחַכֵּֽם׃ | כב | 22 | To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom. |
| וַיָּבֹ֣א יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל מִצְרָ֑יִם וְ֝יַעֲקֹ֗ב גָּ֣ר בְּאֶֽרֶץ־חָֽם׃ | כג | 23 | Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. |
| וַיֶּ֣פֶר אֶת־עַמּ֣וֹ מְאֹ֑ד וַ֝יַּֽעֲצִמֵהוּ מִצָּרָֽיו׃ | כד | 24 | And He increased His people greatly, and made them too mighty for their adversaries. |
| הָפַ֣ךְ לִ֭בָּם לִשְׂנֹ֣א עַמּ֑וֹ לְ֝הִתְנַכֵּ֗ל בַּעֲבָדָֽיו׃ | כה | 25 | He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants. |
| שָׁ֭לַח מֹשֶׁ֣ה עַבְדּ֑וֹ אַ֝הֲרֹ֗ן אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּֽחַר־בּֽוֹ׃ | כו | 26 | He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen. |
| שָֽׂמוּ־בָ֭ם דִּבְרֵ֣י אֹתוֹתָ֑יו וּ֝מֹפְתִ֗ים בְּאֶ֣רֶץ חָֽם׃ | כז | 27 | They wrought among them His manifold signs, and wonders in the land of Ham. |
שָׁ֣לַֽח חֹ֭שֶׁךְ וַיַּחְשִׁ֑ךְ וְלֹֽא־מָ֝ר֗וּ אֶת־דְּבָרֽוֹ דברוו׃
|
כח | 28 | He sent darkness, and it was dark; and they rebelled not against His word. |
| הָפַ֣ךְ אֶת־מֵימֵיהֶ֣ם לְדָ֑ם וַ֝יָּ֗מֶת אֶת־דְּגָתָֽם׃ | כט | 29 | He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish. |
| שָׁרַ֣ץ אַרְצָ֣ם צְפַרְדְּעִ֑ים בְּ֝חַדְרֵ֗י מַלְכֵיהֶֽם׃ | ל | 30 | Their land swarmed with frogs, in the chambers of their kings. |
| אָ֭מַר וַיָּבֹ֣א עָרֹ֑ב כִּ֝נִּ֗ים בְּכָל־גְּבוּלָֽם׃ | לא | 31 | He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats in all their borders. |
| נָתַ֣ן גִּשְׁמֵיהֶ֣ם בָּרָ֑ד אֵ֖שׁ לֶהָב֣וֹת בְּאַרְצָֽם׃ | לב | 32 | He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. |
| וַיַּ֣ךְ גַּ֭פְנָם וּתְאֵנָתָ֑ם וַ֝יְשַׁבֵּ֗ר עֵ֣ץ גְּבוּלָֽם׃ | לג | 33 | He smote their vines also and their fig-trees; and broke the trees of their borders. |
| אָ֭מַר וַיָּבֹ֣א אַרְבֶּ֑ה וְ֝יֶ֗לֶק וְאֵ֣ין מִסְפָּֽר׃ | לד | 34 | He spoke, and the locust came, and the canker-worm without number, |
| וַיֹּ֣אכַל כָּל־עֵ֣שֶׂב בְּאַרְצָ֑ם וַ֝יֹּ֗אכַל פְּרִ֣י אַדְמָתָֽם׃ | לה | 35 | And did eat up every herb in their land, and did eat up the fruit of their ground. |
| וַיַּ֣ךְ כָּל־בְּכ֣וֹר בְּאַרְצָ֑ם רֵ֝אשִׁ֗ית לְכָל־אוֹנָֽם׃ | לו | 36 | He smote also all the first-born in their land, the first-fruits of all their strength. |
| וַֽ֭יּוֹצִיאֵם בְּכֶ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֑ב וְאֵ֖ין בִּשְׁבָטָ֣יו כּוֹשֵֽׁל׃ | לז | 37 | And He brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was none that stumbled among His tribes. |
| שָׂמַ֣ח מִצְרַ֣יִם בְּצֵאתָ֑ם כִּֽי־נָפַ֖ל פַּחְדָּ֣ם עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ | לח | 38 | Egypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them had fallen upon them. |
| פָּרַ֣שׂ עָנָ֣ן לְמָסָ֑ךְ וְ֝אֵ֗שׁ לְהָאִ֥יר לָֽיְלָה׃ | לט | 39 | He spread a cloud for a screen; and fire to give light in the night. |
| שָׁאַ֣ל וַיָּבֵ֣א שְׂלָ֑ו וְלֶ֥חֶם שָׁ֝מַ֗יִם יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽם׃ | מ | 40 | They asked, and He brought quails, and gave them in plenty the bread of heaven. |
| פָּ֣תַח צ֭וּר וַיָּז֣וּבוּ מָ֑יִם הָ֝לְכ֗וּ בַּצִּיּ֥וֹת נָהָֽר׃ | מא | 41 | He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they ran, a river in the dry places. |
| כִּֽי־זָ֭כַר אֶת־דְּבַ֣ר קָדְשׁ֑וֹ אֶֽת־אַבְרָהָ֥ם עַבְדּֽוֹ׃ | מב | 42 | For He remembered His holy word unto Abraham His servant; |
| וַיּוֹצִ֣א עַמּ֣וֹ בְשָׂשׂ֑וֹן בְּ֝רִנָּ֗ה אֶת־בְּחִירָֽיו׃ | מג | 43 | And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with singing. |
| וַיִּתֵּ֣ן לָ֭הֶם אַרְצ֣וֹת גּוֹיִ֑ם וַעֲמַ֖ל לְאֻמִּ֣ים יִירָֽשׁוּ׃ | מד | 44 | And He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took the labour of the peoples in possession; |
| בַּעֲב֤וּר ׀ יִשְׁמְר֣וּ חֻ֭קָּיו וְתוֹרֹתָ֥יו יִנְצֹ֗רוּ הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ | מה | 45 | That they might keep His statutes, and observe His Torahs. {N} Hallelu-Yah. |
