| תְּ֭פִלָּה לְעָנִ֣י כִֽי־יַעֲטֹ֑ף וְלִפְנֵ֥י יְ֝הוָ֗ה יִשְׁפֹּ֥ךְ שִׂיחֽוֹ׃ | א | 1 | A Prayer of the afflicted, when he fainteth, and poureth out his complaint before Yehovah. |
| יְ֭הוָה שִׁמְעָ֣ה תְפִלָּתִ֑י וְ֝שַׁוְעָתִ֗י אֵלֶ֥יךָ תָבֽוֹא׃ | ב | 2 | Yehovah, hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto Thee. |
| אַל־תַּסְתֵּ֬ר פָּנֶ֨יךָ ׀ מִמֶּנִּי֮ בְּי֪וֹם צַ֫ר לִ֥י הַטֵּֽה־אֵלַ֥י אָזְנֶ֑ךָ בְּי֥וֹם אֶ֝קְרָ֗א מַהֵ֥ר עֲנֵֽנִי׃ | ג | 3 | Hide not Thy face from me in the day of my distress; {N} incline Thine ear unto me; in the day when I call answer me speedily. |
| כִּֽי־כָל֣וּ בְעָשָׁ֣ן יָמָ֑י וְ֝עַצְמוֹתַ֗י כְּמוֹ־קֵ֥ד נִחָֽרוּ׃ | ד | 4 | For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as a hearth. |
| הוּכָּֽה־כָ֭עֵשֶׂב וַיִּבַ֣שׁ לִבִּ֑י כִּֽי־שָׁ֝כַ֗חְתִּי מֵאֲכֹ֥ל לַחְמִֽי׃ | ה | 5 | My heart is smitten like grass, and withered; for I forget to eat my bread. |
| מִקּ֥וֹל אַנְחָתִ֑י דָּבְקָ֥ה עַ֝צְמִ֗י לִבְשָׂרִֽי׃ | ו | 6 | By reason of the voice of my sighing my bones cleave to my flesh. |
| דָּ֭מִיתִי לִקְאַ֣ת מִדְבָּ֑ר הָ֝יִ֗יתִי כְּכ֣וֹס חֳרָבֽוֹת׃ | ז | 7 | I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places. |
| שָׁקַ֥דְתִּי וָאֶֽהְיֶ֑ה כְּ֝צִפּ֗וֹר בּוֹדֵ֥ד עַל־גָּֽג׃ | ח | 8 | I watch, and am become like a sparrow that is alone upon the housetop. |
| כָּל־הַ֭יּוֹם חֵרְפ֣וּנִי אוֹיְבָ֑י מְ֝הוֹלָלַ֗י בִּ֣י נִשְׁבָּֽעוּ׃ | ט | 9 | Mine enemies taunt me all the day; they that are mad against me do curse by me. |
| כִּי־אֵ֭פֶר כַּלֶּ֣חֶם אָכָ֑לְתִּי וְ֝שִׁקֻּוַ֗י בִּבְכִ֥י מָסָֽכְתִּי׃ | י | 10 | For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping, |
| מִפְּנֵֽי־זַֽעַמְךָ֥ וְקִצְפֶּ֑ךָ כִּ֥י נְ֝שָׂאתַ֗נִי וַתַּשְׁלִיכֵֽנִי׃ | יא | 11 | Because of Thine indignation and Thy wrath; for Thou hast taken me up, and cast me away. |
| יָ֭מַי כְּצֵ֣ל נָט֑וּי וַ֝אֲנִ֗י כָּעֵ֥שֶׂב אִיבָֽשׁ׃ | יב | 12 | My days are like a lengthening shadow; and I am withered like grass. |
| וְאַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הוָה לְעוֹלָ֣ם תֵּשֵׁ֑ב וְ֝זִכְרְךָ֗ לְדֹ֣ר וָדֹֽר׃ | יג | 13 | But Thou, Yehovah, sittest enthroned for ever; and Thy name is unto all generations. |
| אַתָּ֣ה תָ֭קוּם תְּרַחֵ֣ם צִיּ֑וֹן כִּי־עֵ֥ת לְ֝חֶֽנְנָ֗הּ כִּי־בָ֥א מוֹעֵֽד׃ | יד | 14 | Thou wilt arise, and have compassion upon Zion; for it is time to be gracious unto her, for the appointed time is come. |
| כִּֽי־רָצ֣וּ עֲ֭בָדֶיךָ אֶת־אֲבָנֶ֑יהָ וְֽאֶת־עֲפָרָ֥הּ יְחֹנֵֽנוּ׃ | יה | 15 | For Thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and love her dust. |
| וְיִֽירְא֣וּ ג֭וֹיִם אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה וְֽכָל־מַלְכֵ֥י הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ אֶת־כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ׃ | יו | 16 | So the nations will fear the name of Yehovah, and all the kings of the earth Thy glory; |
| כִּֽי־בָנָ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה צִיּ֑וֹן נִ֝רְאָ֗ה בִּכְבוֹדֽוֹ׃ | יז | 17 | When Yehovah hath built up Zion, when He hath appeared in His glory; |
| פָּ֭נָה אֶל־תְּפִלַּ֣ת הָעַרְעָ֑ר וְלֹֽא־בָ֝זָ֗ה אֶת־תְּפִלָּתָֽם׃ | יח | 18 | When He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, and hath not despised their prayer. |
| תִּכָּ֣תֶב זֹ֭את לְד֣וֹר אַחֲר֑וֹן וְעַ֥ם נִ֝בְרָ֗א יְהַלֶּל־יָֽהּ׃ | יט | 19 | This shall be written for the generation to come; and a people which shall be created shall praise Yah. |
| כִּֽי־הִ֭שְׁקִיף מִמְּר֣וֹם קָדְשׁ֑וֹ יְ֝הוָ֗ה מִשָּׁמַ֤יִם ׀ אֶל־אֶ֬רֶץ הִבִּֽיט׃ | כ | 20 | For He hath looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven did Yehovah behold the earth; |
| לִ֭שְׁמֹעַ אֶנְקַ֣ת אָסִ֑יר לְ֝פַתֵּ֗חַ בְּנֵ֣י תְמוּתָֽה׃ | כא | 21 | To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; |
| לְסַפֵּ֣ר בְּ֭צִיּוֹן שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה וּ֝תְהִלָּת֗וֹ בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ | כב | 22 | That men may tell of the name of Yehovah in Zion, and His praise in Yerushalam; |
| בְּהִקָּבֵ֣ץ עַמִּ֣ים יַחְדָּ֑ו וּ֝מַמְלָכ֗וֹת לַעֲבֹ֥ד אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ | כג | 23 | When the peoples are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve Yehovah. |
| עִנָּ֖ה בַדֶּ֥רֶךְ כֹּחִ֗י כחו קִצַּ֥ר יָמָֽי׃ | כד | 24 | He weakened my strength in the way; He shortened my days. |
| אֹמַ֗ר אֵלִ֗י אַֽל־תַּ֭עֲלֵנִי בַּחֲצִ֣י יָמָ֑י בְּד֖וֹר דּוֹרִ֣ים שְׁנוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ | כה | 25 | I say: 'O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days, Thou whose years endure throughout all generations. |
| לְ֭פָנִים הָאָ֣רֶץ יָסַ֑דְתָּ וּֽמַעֲשֵׂ֖ה יָדֶ֣יךָ שָׁמָֽיִם׃ | כו | 26 | Of old Thou didst lay the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the work of Thy hands. |
| הֵ֤מָּה ׀ יֹאבֵדוּ֮ וְאַתָּ֪ה תַ֫עֲמֹ֥ד וְ֭כֻלָּם כַּבֶּ֣גֶד יִבְל֑וּ כַּלְּב֖וּשׁ תַּחֲלִיפֵ֣ם וְֽיַחֲלֹֽפוּ׃ | כז | 27 | They shall perish, but Thou shalt endure; {N} yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt Thou change them, and they shall pass away; |
| וְאַתָּה־ה֑וּא וּ֝שְׁנוֹתֶ֗יךָ לֹ֣א יִתָּֽמּוּ׃ | כח | 28 | But Thou art the selfsame, and Thy years shall have no end. |
| בְּנֵֽי־עֲבָדֶ֥יךָ יִשְׁכּ֑וֹנוּ וְ֝זַרְעָ֗ם לְפָנֶ֥יךָ יִכּֽוֹן׃ | כט | 29 | The children of Thy servants shall dwell securely, and their seed shall be established before Thee.' {P} |
